Miami Open: Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka sail through to set up blockbuster final as Jannik Sinner sweeps past Frances Tiafoe

Coco Gauff ruthlessly dismantled Karolina Muchova to reach the final of the Miami Open.

Muchova actually took a break to win the opening game but from then it became a struggle for the Czech player to so much as register a game on the board.

Enjoying a home tournament in Florida, Gauff would not be denied. She stormed to victory in straight sets, winning 6-1 6-1 as she closed the match out with yet another break of serve.

It was her first straight-sets victory in this tournament with Gauff hitting her stride now in the late stages of the competition.

"It feels great to be at home," Gauff told Your Site Tennis. "Today I was able to find that good balance of mixing it up.

"When I stepped on court today I felt like it was going to be a really strong match.

"I was just trying to fight for every point and we ended up with the scoreline."

Defending champion Aryna Sabalenka eased past Elena Rybakina 6-4 6-3 ‌on Thursday to book a Miami Open final against Coco Gauff as the world No 1 bids ‌to become the fifth woman to complete the 'Sunshine Double' after her title win at Indian Wells.

Sabalenka took full advantage of a series of errors from Rybakina to win the opening set, and the four-time Grand Slam champion then raced ahead ‌4-0 in the second.

World No 2 Rybakina, who beat the Belarusian in the Australian Open final in January, clawed her way back into the match but Sabalenka shut the door to wrap up a comfortable win.

"I really enjoy our rivalry, she's an incredible player," said Sabalenka. "I did everything right, she played great but I pushed her so much."

Gauff will face Sabalenka on Saturday in their 13th career meeting, the pair having split the previous 12.

The American got the better of Sabalenka in last year's French Open final but the world No 1 got the win in their most recent meeting at the WTA Finals.

Jannik Sinner cruised past Frances Tiafoe to reach the semi-finals of the Miami Open.

Sinner further extended his record for consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1000 events to 30 as he swept past Tiafoe 6-2 6-2.

World No 2 Sinner - who had surpassed Novak Djokovic's long-standing previous mark of 24 earlier in the tournament - never looked back after breaking Tiafoe's serve in the opening game to dampen the partisan home crowd with a dominant display at Hard Rock Stadium.

"I feel like starting the match is very important. When you start by going a ‌break up, it gives you already a slightly good confidence," said Sinner, who won the title in Indian Wells without dropping a set.

"At the same ‌time, they might be very aggressive, so I try to stay as compact as possible with my shots.

"Also mentally, there can be some ups and downs on both sides, so I try to stay very calm and take the chances I can get. Today that was the key."

Alexander Zverev took a dominant 6-1 6-2 win over Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo to set up a clash with Sinner for a spot in the final.

The victory marks Zverev's first time making the top four in the Miami Open and Indian Wells in the same season.

"Tomorrow will be the toughest test," Zverev said.

"I'm looking forward to it. I've been feeling quite well, and hopefully it'll continue."

Sinner marked an end to Zverev's Indian Wells when he beat him in straight sets in California earlier this year, but the German will be looking for vengeance this time around.
