Hull KR scored nine tries in a 52-10 demolition of St Helens Sewell in round six of Super League as Sewell Group Craven Park.
As Super League's 30th birthday part continued, Hull KR marked it by getting back to winning ways in some style, pulling St Helens apart in every facet.
Hull KR ran riot in the first half as St Helens simply fell apart, a double for Mikey Lewis and Joe Burgess, plus a Jez Litten try had them on top.
Lewis added the extras for four out of the five tries plus a penalty conversion as the home outfit had a comprehensive 30-0 lead at the break.
Hull KR then racked up their 50 points and more as Burgess and Lewis both completed hat-tricks with Joe Batchelor and Jai Whitbread both going over - the home crowd delighted at their display.
St Helens got on the scoreboard through Owen Dagnall, Shane Wright, and a Jackson Hastings conversion but they were all consolations after the hammering.
The win marks Hull KR's second win in five while Saints fell to their second loss in six after their round one defeat to Warrington.
While speculation is rife about where Hull KR head coach Willie Peters' future may lie beyond this year, it is clear that in 2026, he has a team ready to compete for him.
Hull KR's last home game on this ground was 173 days ago against the exact same opposition as they won 20-12 in the semi-finals on the way to their maiden Grand Final victory.
After a poor start to the season, they looked to have burst back into life on familiar turf and they were gifted an opportunity on the very first play as George Delaney knock on from the kick-off.
From there, KR bided their time and on the last sent the kick up for Burgess to climb highest for and score. Lewis converted for a 6-0 lead.
After Burgess was denied his second on the eight minute, it took only three minutes more before they were in again. Lewis outsmarted Delaney, Harry Robertson and Owen Dagnall with his footwork to reach over and score to increase their lead to 10-0.
Hull KR would not let up and were on top physically as Saints faltered. A simple penalty was the next error from the visitors as David Klemmer was pinged for a late shot on Elliot Minchella which allowed Lewis to send over a penalty for a 12-0 lead after a quarter.
Just three minutes later, more points came from the hosts through a brilliant team play. This time, Tyrone may sliced through the right edge, held his nerve, and sent the pass back in for Litten to go over. Lewis did the honours once again for the 18-0 advantage.
It was then time for Burgess to get his second that he had been searching for when he used his pace on the wing to outthink Robertson before some woeful defensive play from Sailor allowed him to stride in as the lead increased to 24-0 with the conversion.
Lewis was not done though and on the 34th minute he barged over from short range before finding perfection with the boot again to put his side 30-0 up after 40 minutes, St Helens simply outclassed in every facet by the reigning champions.
Saints looked to have come out for the second half with intent when, within the first couple of minutes, they found acres of space on the right for Dagnall to eat up and score. Jackson Hastings could not convert.
However, it took only six minutes for Hull KR to hit back as they used their overlap for Burgess to complete his hat-trick, Lewis going in the same corner just moment later for a treble of his own. The No 6 converted one of them for a 40-4 lead with 26 minutes still to play.
Saints could not stop the rot but were also the masters of their own downfall. They tried to play near their own line which led to Hastings knocking on a poor pass from Deon Cross which Batchelor happily mopped up.
It was then not long until some nice play down the left edge sent Jai Whitbread in and with Lewis obliging with the boot for both, the half-century was passed with 16 minutes remaining.
With seven minutes on the clock, Wright barrelled over for Saints and Hastings converted but the points did nothing to brighten what was a dismal night for the visitors.
Meanwhile, KR had surged to a win that got their season truly up and running.

"I'm happy with tonight. Coming back home helps, it settled the players a bit. We did [see bits of Hull KR from 2025], mainly through or defence.
"We started really well, there were only three play-the-balls in our half in the first 40 minutes. That's the way we like to play. It was good to score some points off the back of it.
"We've been inconsistent so far this season, but Round 10, 11 and 12 is where you work it all out, so let's see where we are then. But I'd like to think this is a step in the right direction."

"Defensively, whether it was structure or physicality, we were way off the pace and probably took our second half from Toulouse last week into today, and Hull KR completely dominated us in field position and territory as a result of the physicality.
"It's a simple start: the physicality, and we weren't good enough and we were beaten in that area.
There'll be a review for all the team, obviously. There'll be a lot of soul‑searching. Maybe a game too far for some of the younger players today. We've got some bodies missing, but still it's disappointing and some hard lessons learned - well, hopefully learned.
"The humbling, call it what you will. We're disappointed, but as always, it's part of the journey. We'll have to learn and learn quick because we've got another physical team on the horizon in Wigan."
